Description
This exquisitely enameled egg is skillfully rendered in the style made famous by the House of Romanov s imperial jeweler to Russian nobility. Named for Danish Princess Dagmar who became Empress of Russia upon her marriage to Alexander III, this quality work of art is characterized by its rich ornamentation. Pewter sculpts are cast in the lost wax method before brilliant enamel is added inside and out and both faux jewels and tiny pearls set in place.
