Description
Hundreds of sparkling crystals are the keynote of this museum-quality, Romanov-style enameled egg named for its benefactor, Tsar Alexander III. The House of Romanov's imperial jeweler's 19th-century creations live on in Polotsk set in crimson red enamel. Cast in pewter using the ancient lost wax method before the effervescent embellishments are added. It sits atop tripod legs and opens to hold tiny treasures.
